Founded in 1957, the Hamburg Symphony has become an outstanding orchestra. the artists perform an array of music including the repertoire of baroque and contemporary sounds. In addition to concerts, the symphony plays for ballet productions and opera performances. Joining the Hamburg Symphony at the Lied is Robert McDuffie, a Grammy®-nominated artist whose acclaimed recordings for telarc include the violin concertos of Mendelssohn, Bruch, Adams, Glass, Barber and Rozsa. McDuffie has appeared as a soloist with several major orchestras such as the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonics and the North German Radio Orchestra.
