 Chemistry Day on Saturday, October 6, 2007. The purpose of this event is 
 to introduce high school juniors, seniors, parents and science teachers t
 o the opportunities and careers in the field of Chemistry. UNL students w
 ho are interested in becoming Chemistry majors are also welcome to partic
 ipate.  \n\nThe event is scheduled from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm in Hamilton Ha
 ll in the heart UNL’s City Campus. Events include guided tours of chemi
 stry labs and special instrumentation centers, an informational session f
 eaturing a variety of interesting experimental demonstrations in addition
  to academic information, and a special session by Dr. Mark Griep entitle
 d “A Periodic Table of Elements in the Movies”.  Optional campus tour

DESCRIPTION:The photography exhibit, "On the Land," at the State Museum (M
 orrill Hall) features 38 photographs by the Nebraska native and National 
 Geographic\Magazine contributing photographer Joel Sartore, as well as co
 mpelling exhibit commentary from Lincolnite Dan Semrad, environmentalist 
 and investment advisor. Shown in the Museum's Cooper Gallery, "On The Lan
 d" examines environmental\nstories from around the globe. The museum is o
 pen from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 1:30 to
  4:30 p.m. on Sundays. Admission for UNL faculty and staff is free. Admis
 sion for the general public is $5 for\nadults. $3 for children 5-18 years
  of age, and children 4 and under are free. The family rate (up to two ad
