The 4th annual Arts Entrepreneurship Day at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln City Campus will highlight career opportunities for actors, dancers, directors, film makers, musicians, painters, sculptors, and anyone interested in creating professional opportunities in the arts beyond teaching.. The success of our previous
Arts E-Day has prompted an enriched and expanded
Arts E-Day for this year. This event will feature sessions including everything from making money from your art, obtaining financing, incorporation, protecting artists' rights, and accounting. Professionals from the Visual, Musical, and Theatrical arts will be present to give insight on what it's really like in the arts business world. Arts E-Day attendees will receive a coupon for a discount for Maria Schneider concert at the Lied Center the evening of Feb. 3rd.
Also joining us to present at our three Arts Entrepreneurship Sessions will be NYU Arts Entrepreneurship Professor Kathryn Fitterman, and UNL Law Professor Robert Denicola.
Gliding between jazz and big band sound, the Maria Schneider Orchestra leaves audiences feeling “contemplative, absorbed and emotionally moved.” Maria Schneider and her 17-piece orchestra were winners of the 2005 Grammy® Award for “Best Large Jazz Ensemble.”
