Biologists use a variety of tools to determine animal movements. The recent application of stable isotope techniques to this field of ecology has revealed interesting patterns of movements, previously not available through other research methods. Dr. Powell will show examples of recent work with stable isotopes, including applications for research on grassland songbirds, waterfowl, and mountain lions.
