Acclaimed the greatest of folk dance groups, the Moiseyev Dance Company has captivated audiences since its origin in 1936. Named for its visionary artistic director, choreographer, and founder, the company performs dances that reflect the treasury of songs, dances, customs, and traditions of Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Gerogia, Uzbekistan, and other regions of the former Soviet Union. Its ever-growing repertoire also now includes dances of Spain, Japan, Bulgaria, Argentina, Mexico, Poland, Hungary, and even American jazz and rock and roll.
