Event Detail
Date: Thursday, February 7th
Time: 9:30 am-1:00 pm
Description:

Corn producers can get ready for the 2008 growing season by attending a Corn Disease Management workshop Feb. 7 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Agricultural Research and Development Center near Mead.

The UNL Extension workshop, presented by Tamra Jackson, UNL Extension plant pathologist, is aimed at producers and will focus on disease management issues for corn. This includes a review of diseases that occurred in 2007, plus those projected to be a problem in '08. The workshop will look at changes in disease management strategies and understanding what fungicide results mean.

There is no fee for this workshop, but advance registration is requested by Feb. 5.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with the workshop from 10 a.m-1 p.m. which includes a complimentary noon lunch. The session will be held at the August N. Christenson Research and Education Building at the ARDC.
