Forsberg's "On Ancient Wings" exhibit celebrates Sandhill Cranes

Description:

Now through August 14, 2008 in the Cooper Gallery at Morrill Hall, (14th and U Streets), an exhibit of photography by Michael Forsberg will coincide with the sandhill cranes’ arrival in Nebraska. Every March along the Platte River, the fields come to life with these elegant visitors. Through 44 stunning color photographs, On Ancient Wings intertwines the lives of cranes, people, and their common places to tell an enduring story at a time when North American sandhill crane colonies and their natural habitats face daunting prospects. Cost: Free w/ UNL Fac/staff/student ID. General public: $10 family, $5 adult, $3 child 5-18, Free under 4. www.museum.unl.edu 472-2642
