| Description: | David W. Frayer is a Professor of Anthropology at the University of Kansas and a world renowned scholar on topics pivotal to the study of hominid evolution. Dr. Frayer was awarded a Ph.D. from the Univeristy of Michigan in 1976 and has since authored more than 85 publications and delivered more than 100 academic presentations worldwide. Although the anatomy and behavior of Neandertals form the basis for Dr. Fryer's recent work, he has also published extensively on European Upper Paleolithic and Mesolithic fossils, and most recently on the diminutive skeletal remains of the 'hobbit' (Homo "floresiensis') from the island of Flores, Indonesia. |
