Midwest ClariFest

Description:

Established in 1997, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Midwest ClariFest is designed as a day to celebrate the teaching and learning of the clarinet. Intended for clarinetists of all ages and backgrounds, the festival also invites band directors and parents to attend any or all of the day’s activities. All events take place on the UNL campus in the Kimball Recital Hall. Days activities include: Host recital by Dr. Diane Barger 2 masteclasses with guest clarinetist Nathan Williams Performance by the New Horizons Clarinet Ensemble (3:00 - 3:45) Clarinet choir reading rehearsals Potpourri Recital Evening recital by Nathan Williams Nathan Williams teaches at the Interlochen Arts Academy and is a member of the prestigious chamber ensemble Strata.
