Josh Fiedler, a national recruiting representative for the Student Conservation Association (SCA) will be on UNL's east and city campus next Tuesday and Wednesday (Jan. 22 and 23) to answer questions and provide more information about internship opportunities for students. SCA is the leading provider of conservation internships in the nation and offers opportunities in such areas as Anthropology, History, Biology, Natural Resources, Youth Leadership, and Project and Land Management with the National Park Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, National Historic Sites, and the Nature Conservancy to name a few. If you or a student you know are looking for a summer internship, this is a great place to start!!

| 7:00 pm-10:00 pm | SNR, UNL Wildlife Club Fundraiser HARDIN HALLLINCOLN, Neb. -- Comedian Tim Bedore, known for his animal conspiracy theories and clean humor, will give a fundraising performance at 7 p.m. Jan. 22 in the Hardin Hall Auditorium. On the northeast corner of 33rd & Holdrege streets, Hardin Hall is home to the School of Natural Resources (SNR) on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Bedore’s performance will benefit SNR, and the UNL Wildlife Club will sell concessions during the event. Tickets will cost $10 for student and balcony seats and $20 for ground-level seats. Seating is not reserved. Free parking will be available in the lot north of Hardin Hall.
Advance ticket purchases are recommended, said Scott Hygnstrom, SNR professor, specialist in human-wildlife conflicts, and one of the event’s organizers. Tickets may be purchased on-line at http://snr.unl.edu, or by calling 402-472-3471, or at the Nebraska Maps & More Store, 101 Hardin Hall, and will be on sale that evening if any are left.
Bedore has a regular spot on the nationally syndicated radio program, the Bob & Tom Show (Wednesdays at 9 a.m. on 92.9 FM, The Eagle), and has been a regular contributor to Marketplace, a Public Radio International program.
Bedore has challenged the SNR faculty to participate after the event in a point-counterpoint-style debate on his theory, Hygnstrom said, and several faculty members were reportedly looking forward to the challenge.
