The Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Tyler Goodrich White, will give a recital in Kimball Recital Hall.
The program will feature:
Sunday, October 12 concert — Bernstein's Overture to West Side Story, Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring (the complete ballet in its seldom heard full-orchestral version), and Dvorak's Symphony No. 8 (old No. 4) in G major, Op. 88.
Sunday, December 14 concert — Debussy's Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, Honegger's Concerto da camera for flute, English horn, and strings (with John Bailey, flute, and William McMullen, English horn), and Franck's Symphony in D minor.
