Time Event Title
11:45 am-1:00 pmUAAD Program NEBRASKA UNION
Building Teams at UNL Higher education traditionally rewards the individual contributor rather than the accomplishments of a team. How do you shift the work culture to recognize the value of teamwork? Not all work groups are teams. How do you tell the difference? The presenter will address the fundamentals and functions of a team and discuss ways to help managers and employees value and facilitate teamwork at UNL. About our speaker: Nancy Myers is UNL’s first Director of Organization Development. In her position, she works with colleges and departments to plan and implement change, and provide group problem solving, facilitation, team development, strategic planning, management consultation and leadership development. Nancy is adjunct faculty for CBA and is the coach for the UNL’s curling team. She is the mother of two children and two grandchildren. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Denver, a master’s degree in Psychology from the Fielding Institute and a Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from the University of Nebraska. This month's donation item for the Lincoln Food Bank's Backpack program is Grape Jelly.
