| Date: | Tuesday, October 28th |
| Time: | 4:00 pm-6:00 pm |
| Description: | A hands-on tree management tour will begin at 4 p.m. on Tuesday October 28 at the UNL Extension Office at 415 Black Hills Avenue in Alliance. Presenters will be UNL District Forester Doak Nickerson and UNL Extension Educator Bill Booker. Booker states that Fall is a great time for planting trees and managing or enhancing your tree plans. This year offered some recovery from eight years of drought that can have ongoing impacts on long-lived perennial plants (i.e. trees). Symptoms visible on your trees are not recent (they can be from a year ago or more) so do not expect instant recovery. We can, however, offer the tree a good start on the recovery process for next year’s growing season. The recovery starts now with fall and winter plans and developing plans for next year. |
