An interactive and collaborative discussion on diversity designed to empower the UNL community. Aaron Davis will be the keynote speaker. Free to all UNL students, staff and faculty. Lunch will be provided.
12:00 pm-2:00 pmFlu Shot Clinic NEBRASKA EAST UNION
The UHC will be holding flu shot clinics (no appointments necessary) for UNL students, faculty, and staff. Flu vaccinations cost $20 and payment by cash or check is required at the time of the vaccination. For those with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, a claim will be filed for them by UHC staff for possible reimbursement (please bring your insurance information with you to the clinic), however you will still need to pay at time of shot. Flu vaccinations are also available by appointment at UHC for those unable to attend a clinic.

5:00 pm-8:00 pmEL Dia De Los Muertos Festival SHELDON MUSEUM of ART
El Dia de los Muertos is a centuries-old spiritual tradition celebrating the continuity of life by honoring the dead on their return to Earth one day each year. Sheldon will mark this day with a two-day event featuring music, entertainment and activities for the whole family. A mariachi band and Mexican dancers will provide entertainment both Friday and Saturday and a variety of art-making activities will be offered to young visitors on Saturday afternoon. The event is free and open to the public and is held in conjunction with the exhibition TRANSactions: Contemporary Latin American and Latino Art.

Reid Callaghan is the big man on campus. Along with his best friend Alex and their gang of jocks, this group of energetic athletes owns the social scene in their high school. When Tammy and Lindsay come forward with accusations of rape against Reid, they do not get the response they expect.
8:00 pm-10:00 pmPink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' at Mueller Planetarium MORRILL HALL
With the show "Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon," the planetarium has a light show for the 21st century. This is not a laser show as audiences have seen in the past, but the next generation of computer-developed imagery for the classic album. It is a 43-minute show will play at 8 and again at 9 p.m. on 10/31/08. A trailer is available at the Planetarium's Web site: www.spacelaser.com
