Workshop - Why is Diversity Important?

Have you ever wondered why diversity is important? This workshop will look at the different elements involving diversity and we will develop a plan to address the challenges. Please come with an open mind. Be prepared to challenge yourself and others. Get ready to put the work in to a WORKSHOP. You are invited to attend this program sponsored by the Diversity Working Group on Tuesday, November 25th from 12 - 2 pm in the Nebraska Union (room TBA). Feel free to attend all or part of the program as your schedule allows. Jamar Banks, Director of the Center for Leadership and Student Involvement at Appalachian State University, and Will Sheppard, Academic Counselor/Coordinator of Multicultural Programs for UNL Athletics, will be leading the session. The program is open to all members of the campus community, including students, staff, and faculty. You are welcome to bring your own lunch.
