| 7:30 pm | Wind Ensemble KIMBALL RECITAL HALLThe Wind Ensemble will present a Japanese-inspired program on October 2 featuring works by American and Japanese composers. The concert will include the Nebraska premiere of Donald Grantham's "Court Music," Morton Lauridsen's "O Magnum Mysterium," Bernard Rogers "Three Japanese Dances," Yasuhide Ito's epic "Gloriosa," and Naohiro Iwai's "Yagi Bushi."
Tickets: General admission $5, student/senior $3, available at the door approx. one hour before the performance. |
| 7:30 pm | THE SANTALAND DIARIES TEMPLE BUILDINGThe plot is built around the musings of a single character, played by Paul Steger, who begins the play by scoffing at a classified ad for seasonal employment as a Santaland Elf at Macy's. As his elfin alter ego, "Crumpet," he alternates between introspective ramblings, to over-the-top outbursts, to biting mean-spirited descriptions, with maybe just a crumb of holiday spirit thrown in. Not suitable for younger than 13. |
