Wellness Profiles are offered at the UHC lab and can be performed without referral from a medical provider. The profiles includes total cholesterol (both LDL and HDL), triglycerides, hemoglobin, and glucose. For the most accurate results, it is recommended you fast for 12 hours prior to having the test done. Cost for the Wellness Profile for faculty/staff is $20.

Extension Educators are invited to participate in the 2008 Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) In-service on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:50, central time. The in-service will be held in the Fonner Park Room, College Park, Grand Island. Lunch will be provided for participates. Please mark your calendars.

Dr. Peter J. Smith, an expert in Shakespeare and English Renaissance literature from Nottingham-Trent University will give a lecture on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 4:00-6:00 “Turning the Other Cheek: Scatology and its Discontents in The Canterbury Tales.”

The Eating Disorder Education and Prevention (EDEP) student organization encourages student to move toward an accepting attitude of body size and shape; to educate in the areas of eating disorder, body image and wellness; and to provide resources and referrals on campus. All students are welcome to join the EDEP team. If you want to be more involved, EDEP meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union - room posted.
