SUMMARY:Rastrelli Cello Quartet with Ann Chang-Barnes, piano
DESCRIPTION:Since its founding in 2002, the Rastrelli Cello Quartet has be
 en on a mission to prove that it is possible to play any kind of music on
  the cello, from baroque to rock.  The ensemble's repertoire consists ent
 irely of transcriptions, music not originally intended to be performed on
  the cello.  Following one performance in Germany, a reviewer said the qu
 artet provided "pure joy and musical fun of the finest calibre.  The Rast
 relli Cello Quartet dances along the borders among various musical genre.
 "  Pianist Ann Chang-Barnes, senior lecturer of piano and chamber music a
 t the University of Nebraska-Lincoln School of Music, will perform with t
 he quartet.

DESCRIPTION:This exhibition represents the young generation of American pr
 int artists matched with young Egyptian artists of quality and merit to c
 reate a platform of artistic and cultural interaction using art as our co
 mmon voice.   This presents the opportunity to learn about ourselves as p
 eople across cultures and distances.  The exhibition is scheduled to tour
  throughout the U.S.A in 2008 and return for presentation in Egypt in 200
