SUMMARY:UNL Extension Program - Corn Disease Management
DESCRIPTION:Corn producers can get  ready for the 2008 growing season by a
 ttending a Corn Disease Management  workshop Feb. 7 at the University of 
 Nebraska-Lincoln's Agricultural Research  and Development Center near Mea
 d.\n  The UNL Extension workshop, presented by Tamra Jackson,  UNL Extens
 ion plant pathologist, is aimed at producers and will focus on  disease m
 anagement issues for corn. This includes a review of diseases that  occur
 red in 2007, plus those projected to be a problem in '08. The workshop  w
 ill look at changes in disease management strategies and understanding wh
 at  fungicide results mean.\n  There is no fee for this workshop, but adv
 ance  registration is requested by Feb. 5.\n Registration begins at 9:30 
 a.m. with the workshop from  10 a.m-1 p.m. which includes a complimentary
  noon lunch. The session will be  held at the August N. Christenson Resea
 rch and Education Building at the ARDC.\n  For more information or to reg
