The UNL choral ensembles are pleased to return to First Plymouth Church to continue a collaborative relationship with the Abendmusik Concert Series, a relationship that has grown and flourished for several years. The University Singers will sing the Symphony of Psalms, a challenging and exciting choral work from Stravinsky’s neo-classical period. The Concert Choir, East Campus Choir and the Abendmusik Chorus join to sing Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb, with soloists Donna Harler-Smith and Chip Smith with Dr. John Cummins on the Lied Organ. Each of the four ensembles come together to perform Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, a 3 movement work using ancient Biblical texts in their original Hebrew.
Tickets: General admission $20, senior $15, student/youth $10, available at the door or contact Abendmusik at www.abendmusik.org.
