| All day | Commutative Algebra conference AVERY HALLThe UNL Department of Mathematics will host an international
conference,
"Commutative Algebra: Connections with Algebraic Topology and
Representation Theory",
on the occasion of Professor Luchezar Avramov's 60th birthday.
The conference will be May 18 - 22, 2008. All talks will be in the
Avery Hall Auditorium, AvH 115. Visit

the National Science Foundation, the Department of Mathematics, the
College of Arts and Sciences and the Office of Research. All talks
are open to the entire University community. The final lecture,
"Tight closure and localizations", by Melvin Hochster, 11:45 am
Thursday, May 22, is sponsored by the UNL Research Council. The
conference has over 150 participants, representing 24 states and 21
countries. |
