Professor Markus Pflaum of the University of Colorado, Boulder will speak on Deformation quantization and index theory at 4pm Friday February 6 in 115 Avery Hall. The talk will be preceded by refreshments in 348 Avery Hall.

Double Reed Days 2009 will feature guest artists John Dee, Professor of Oboe at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and Adam Trussell, second bassoonist at the Omaha Symphony Orchestra. Activities will begin Friday, Feb 6 with a recital in Westbrook Recital Hall, room 119 at 7:30 pm. The day-long sessions and masterclasses will continue on Saturday, Feb 7 at 9:00 am and run through approx. 5:00 pm.
