The UNL School of Music will host the third annual high school Small Vocal Ensemble Festival, “SINGING SMALL, STANDING TALL ”, Tuesday, April 7, in Kimball Recital Hall.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for small vocal ensembles (approximately 30 members or less) of all varieties [chamber choir, madrigal, vocal jazz, a cappella groups] to come together to celebrate the wonderful literature available for these special areas of choral performance. Individual choirs are invited to perform on the final evening concert at 7:00 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.
“Domain Wall – Defect Interactions in Ferroelectrics,” by Chad M. Landis, Associate Professor, Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics, The University of Texas at Austin, TX. On Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 3:30 PM in 105 Othmer Hall. There will be an informal reception at 3:00 PM in W317.7 Nebraska Hall, preceding the seminar. The public is welcome.
The purpose of the University Health Center Student Advisory Board (UHCSAB) shall be to represent the student body dealing with the health concerns of the University community, by identifying health related problems, and by making recommendations to the University Health Center (UHC) staff and University Administration for the delivery of comprehensive health care. The Board shall assist in planning, evaluation and implementation of policies and programs of the UHC. General meetings are open to all UNL students
A final concert will conclude the Chamber Choir Festival, Singing Small, Standing Tall, featuring the selected high school ensembles, the UNL Chamber Singers, ROCKTAVO, and UNL Vocal Jazz Ensemble. The concert will be held in Kimball Recital Hall. This event is FREE and open to the public.
