Join us for the 5th Annual Nebraska Research and Innovation Conference at the Omaha Qwest Center on September 29.
The conference brings business leaders, policy makers, and researchers together to hear distinguished speakers, learn about the latest technologies and exchange ideas while exploring potential collaborations.
The conference begins with morning plenary sessions featuring presentations dedicated to bringing research and innovation to the forefront. Throughout the afternoon, researchers will present exciting new developments in science and business in a mini-track format. A student research poster presentation and a reception will conclude the day.
Alexandra Fuller is the author of "The Legend of Colton H. Bryant" (2008) and "Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight: An African Childhood" (2001). This is a Research and Region Lecture sponsored by the Plains Humanities Alliance, the Center for Great Plains Studies, the Dept. of English, the Dept. of History, the Research Council, and Convocations Committee.
The faculty jazz ensemble at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln School of Music will present a featured concert on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 7:30 pm in the auditorium of the Sheldon Museam of Art. This program will feature works by Kenny Dorham, Bruce Gertz, J.J. Johnson and others. The UNL Jazz Faculty Ensemble is made up of professors from the UNL School of Music and include, Paul Haar, Darryl White, Rusty White, Peter Bouffard, Tom Larson and Graduate Teaching Assistant Brandon Holloman.
