The Nebraska Research and Innovation Conference brings business leaders, policy makers, and researchers together to hear distinguished speakers, learn about the latest technologies and exchange ideas while exploring potential collaborations.
The conference begins with morning plenary sessions featuring distinguished speakers dedicated to bringing research and innovation to the forefront. Throughout the afternoon, researchers and industry professionals will present exciting new developments in science and business in a mini-track format. Tracks/topics include: Algal, Green Chemistry/Biomass, SMART Grid, Solar and Wind. A research poster presentation and a reception will conclude the day.

| 7:30 pm | Faculty artists: Faculty Jazz Ensemble SHELDON MUSEUM of ARTThe Faculty Jazz Ensemble will give a recital on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Sheldon Museum of Art's Ethel S. Abbott Auditorium.
The Faculty Jazz Ensemble is made up of faculty artists Paul Haar, saxophone, Eric Richards, trombone, Darryl White, trumpet, Peter Bouffard, guitar, Tom Larson, piano, Jeffry Eckels, bass, and Steve Helfand, drums. The repertoire will include selections from the following: Delores Carla Maria by Charles Fambrough, Uncle Pete by Wynton Marsalis, The Newness of "U" by Jeffry Eckels, Upper Fargo by Christine Jensen, Scatterbrain by Donald Brown, Perception, Large Parasols, and Big P, all three of which are by Tom Larson.
