10:00 am-Mar 2nd 1:00 pm	454 Sequencing Workshop FILLEY HALL This workshop is designed to introduce researchers and staff to Next Generation sequencing as a powerful research application. Overview of the technology, including a comparison of the core technologies of the Illumina and SOLiD platforms. The applications session will cover a broad range of published DNA and RNA-based applications, again focusing on those applications for which the 454 is the platform of choice. In the Data analysis session you will have an opportunity to use the CAGE database and the in-house pipelines that CAGE has set up for metagenomics/ community analysis.
