9:00 am-11:00 amFlu Shot Clinics UNIVERSITY HEALTH CENTER
The University Health Center offers walk-in flu shot clinics - no appointments required. Flu shots are free for UNL students paying UPFF facility fees and $30 for faculty and staff. The UHC will file Blue Cross Blue Shield claims for faculty and staff members under the wellness benefit. You must have your insurance card at the time of vaccination in order to file a Blue Cross Blue Shield claim only. If you have used up your wellness benefit for the 2012 coverage period, you will be sent a bill from the UHC. The clinics will be held from 11:30am to 1pm on the following dates at:

Dec. 3: Harper Schramm Smith Dining Hall
Dec. 4: Abel/Sandoz Dining Hall
Dec. 5: East Campus Union
Dec. 6: Nebraska Union - Wellness Booth

Forms are available on-line for you to fill out prior to coming to one of the flu shot clinics to speed up the process. If you are unable to make one of the clinics, you can make an appointment at 402-472-5000.
12:00 pm-1:00 pmLGBTQA Brown Bag Discussion Group NEBRASKA UNION
Bring your lunch and join the discussion. The following topics will be discussed:
• Sept. 10: Adjusting to college life and being out on campus.
• Oct. 1: LGBTQ History - where have we been and where are we at now? Looking at the history of LGBTQ rights at UNL and society at large.
• Nov. 5: Social media and the LGBTQ community — how Facebook, Twitter, and other social media impacts our relationships with family, friends, and partners.
• Dec. 3: Heading home for the holidays. How do we deal with family after being away at school and making our own decisions? Topics may include deciding on whether to come out to parents, bring romantic partners home, dealing with family discord, and more.

All Brown Bag discussions in the LGBTQA Resource Center on the 3rd floor in the Nebraska Union.

Learn how you can make healthy lifestyle choices and take part in making campus a better place.
12:30 pmEthical Dilemmas in Academic Integrity Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center
We will navigate some of the complexities of academic integrity, with an emphasis on integrity as it pertains to graduate education. We will discuss realistic scenarios that highlight some ambiguities in academic integrity and different ways of approaching these ethical dilemmas. We will also talk about how all of us can help promote and maintain a culture of ethics at UNL and elsewhere.

The Institutional Biosafety Committee is charged with reviewing and approving biological research involving recombinant DNA and infectious agents on the UNL campuses.

The UNL Student Code of Conduct states: The maintenance of academic honesty and integrity is a vital concern of the University community. Any student found guilty of academic dishonesty shall be subject to both academic and disciplinary sanctions. Students will have the opportunity to see what the University defines as academic dishonesty as well as a discussion of how these issues can be confronted in their own academic experience.

In addition, issues surrounding ethics in the corporate/industry job search will be presented. A case study will be shared and discussed.
