| Description: | The panel will address the question of maintaining integrity as a graduate student concerning sexual orientation, gender identity and expression. The discussion will cover topics related to research such as appropriate language, inclusiveness in research when discussing sexuality and gender identity (including allies), and diversity of sources. As well as how to approach and utilize research, which can be the difference between a well-rounded or limited argument. Being out/living openly will also be discussed, including how to function with integrity when identified as LGBTQA and how success in graduate school is impacted when it’s not safe to be out.
