| 9:00 am-11:00 am | Flu Shot Clinics UNIVERSITY HEALTH CENTERThe University Health Center offers walk-in flu shot clinics - no appointments required. Flu shots are free for UNL students paying UPFF facility fees and $30 for faculty and staff. The UHC will file Blue Cross Blue Shield claims for faculty and staff members under the wellness benefit. You must have your insurance card at the time of vaccination in order to file a Blue Cross Blue Shield claim only. If you have used up your wellness benefit for the 2012 coverage period, you will be sent a bill from the UHC. The clinics will be held from 11:30am to 1pm on the following dates at:

| 12:00 pm-1:00 pm | Chinese Workshop Jackie Gaughan Multicultural CenterThe UNL Confucius Institute is offering a free, two-day lunch hour workshop designed to help people interact with Chinese students and scholars.
The workshop, noon to 1 p.m. Sep. 24 and 26 in room 202 in the Multicultural Center, will be led by Pingan Huang, associate professor and associate director of the UNL Confucius Institute.
Huang will discuss methods to overcome language and cultural barriers. He will also review 20 common Chinese phrases/sentences used for greetings, introductions, expressing thanks and apologies, and saying goodbye.
The workshop is free and open to all faculty, staff and students. Space is limited to 50. |

| 3:00 pm-5:00 pm | Energy Choices for the 21st Century, a presentation by Ron Binz HARDIN HALLEnergy Choices for the 21st Century is the topic for a presentation on Monday, Sept. 24, 3-5 p.m. at Hardin Hall Auditorium
The speaker, Ron Binz, is a 30-year veteran of utility and energy policy, and principal with Public Policy Consulting. The talk is conducted by State Senator Ken Haar and the UNL Department of Electrical Engineering.
Most recently, Binz served four years as the Chairman of the Colorado Public Utilities Commission where he implemented the many policy changes championed by the governor and the legislature to bring forward Colorado’s “New Energy Policy.”
Binz will present a review of the report he authored: “Practicing Risk-Aware Electricity Regulation: What Every State Regulator Needs to Know.”
