DESCRIPTION:Energy Choices for the 21st Century is the topic for a present
 ation on Monday, Sept. 24, 3-5 p.m. at Hardin Hall Auditorium\n\nThe spea
 ker, Ron Binz, is a 30-year veteran of utility and energy policy, and pri
 ncipal with Public Policy Consulting. The talk is conducted by State Sena
 tor Ken Haar and the UNL Department of Electrical Engineering.\n\nMost re
 cently, Binz served four years as the Chairman of the Colorado Public Uti
 lities Commission where he implemented the many policy changes championed
  by the governor and the legislature to bring forward Colorado’s “New
  Energy Policy.” \n\nBinz will present a review of the report he author
 ed: “Practicing Risk-Aware Electricity Regulation: What Every State Reg
 ulator Needs to Know.”  \n\nThe presentation is free and open to the pu
 blic and will feature a question and answer period following the speaker'
