David Leven and Stella Betts are founding partners of Leven Betts Studio. The work of Leven Betts has been recognized internationally through awards, exhibitions and publications. Recent awards are Architectural Records Design Vanguard, Architype Review Award, IES Lumen Award, AIA NYC Awards, I.D. Annual Design Review Award and the Architectural League of NYs Young Architects Forum. Leven Betts has lectured and exhibited their work at the Architectural League of New York, Deutsches Architekturmuseum, Frankfurt, Germany, Syracuse University, the Center for Architecture in NY, Parsons the New School for Design, University of Kansas and the Chicago Institute of Art. Recent publications includeArchitectural Record, Young Americans, Ultimate New York Design, New Minimalist House, and Dwell Magazine among others. David holds a Bachelor of Art from Colgate University and a Master of Architecture degree from Yale University, and he attended the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies. Stella holds a Bachelor of Art from Connecticut College and Master of Architecture from Harvard University. They both teach at Parsons The New School for Design, Stella also teaches at the Cooper Union School of Architecture.

The movie Playtime will also be shown at 7:00pm at Film Streams in Omaha. Playtime was the conceptual basis for LevenBetts 2001 Chelsea Penthouse renovation; taking cues from Jacques Tati's movie, the apartment uses glass as an ephemeral material in various phases of transparency, translucence, reflection, and simultaneity.
