An information session to welcome new employees and share key employment information.
9:00 am-11:00 amFlu Shot Clinics East Campus Union
The University Health Center offers walk-in flu shot clinics - no appointments required. Flu shots are free for UNL students paying UPFF facility fees and $30 for faculty and staff. The UHC will file Blue Cross Blue Shield claims for faculty and staff members under the wellness benefit. You must have your insurance card at the time of vaccination in order to file a Blue Cross Blue Shield claim only. If you have used up your wellness benefit for the 2012 coverage period, you will be sent a bill from the UHC. The clinics will be held from 11:30am to 1pm on the following dates at:

Dec. 3: Harper Schramm Smith Dining Hall
Dec. 4: Abel/Sandoz Dining Hall
Dec. 5: East Campus Union
Dec. 6: Nebraska Union - Wellness Booth

Forms are available on-line for you to fill out prior to coming to one of the flu shot clinics to speed up the process. If you are unable to make one of the clinics, you can make an appointment at 402-472-5000.

10:15 am-10:30 amUNL's Monthly Tornado Test UNL
UNL will join Lincoln/Lancaster County Emergency Management in testing all tornado-warning systems on the first Wednesday of each month at 10:15 a.m. to assure the systems are working and to remind the campus community to be at all times aware of shelters and exit routes.

The test will end within 5 minutes. Tests will not be conducted when there is a threat of severe weather or if the outdoor temperature is below freezing. UNL's Tornado Warning Policy can be found at http://bf.unl.edu/policies/police/TornadoWarning.shtml

The Durham School hosts its annual Career Fair for Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management and Civil Engineering: Oct. 2-4 in Omaha.

This event is for current and prospective members alike. If you love fashion, and have a passion to be working in the textiles industry, this is the group for you. We offer leadership positions, portfolio-enhancing opportunities, and lectures with industry professionals.

At this meeting, we will be discussing the production of the bi-annual mini-mag THIS SEASON and delegating positions in writing, PR, and modeling. A winner for this year's t-Shirt design will also be chosen.
