| Description: | The UNL Dept. of History invites current and former refugees as well as community members who work with refugees to join students and professors in a unique community-based history project. Share your stories, the history and culture of your home country, and your refugee experiences. Bring your photos, documents, letters, heirlooms, traditional clothing, or any other items that tell your story. With your permission, your items will be photographed and included in a unique, online archive that will be available for free to the public. The goal is to create a resource to help others better understand the rich and diverse histories, cultures, and experiences of Lincoln's refugees. Two opportunities to share your items. Sunday, Oct. 28th , 12-4pm at College View SDA Church, and Thursday, Nov. 1, 4pm-7pm at Center for People in Need. Free and open to the public |
