| 9:00 am-11:00 am | Flu Shot Clinics UNIVERSITY HEALTH CENTERThe University Health Center offers walk-in flu shot clinics - no appointments required. Flu shots are free for UNL students paying UPFF facility fees and $30 for faculty and staff. The UHC will file Blue Cross Blue Shield claims for faculty and staff members under the wellness benefit. You must have your insurance card at the time of vaccination in order to file a Blue Cross Blue Shield claim only. If you have used up your wellness benefit for the 2012 coverage period, you will be sent a bill from the UHC. The clinics will be held from 11:30am to 1pm on the following dates at:

Dec. 5: East Campus Union

| 3:00 pm-7:00 pm | ASUN Nebraska Sustainability Roundtable City Campus UnionASUN Environmental Sustainability Committee is hosting the second annual Nebraska Sustainability Roundtable. A unique public discussion with a robust goal, we are excited to help expand and strengthen Nebraska’s existing sustainability initiatives. Faculty, students, and industry experts will be in attendance, providing the opportunity to discuss and network.
The conference’s structure consists of four groups, each with a topic of interest [energy, food/agriculture, water, campus] and a recorder logging the discussion. Groups will rotate every forty-five minutes with a selection of pertinent covered topics during wrap-up. Along with being sent to the Chancellor’s Commission on Environmental Sustainability, these pertinent topics will also serve as guidelines for the sustainability master plan for UNL.

I direct an interdisciplinary laboratory that is focused on understanding regulatory mechanisms that control bacterial cell physiology and virulence. Our studies center on the model system Caulobacter crescentus and the related human pathogen Brucella abortus, which is the causative agent of the global zoonotic disease known as brucellosis. |
