Dr. Sean Crosson, Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Chicago, will present “A multi-scale analysis of bacterial signal transduction” on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. I direct an interdisciplinary laboratory that is focused on understanding regulatory mechanisms that control bacterial cell physiology and virulence. Our studies center on the model system Caulobacter crescentus and the related human pathogen Brucella abortus, which is the causative agent of the global zoonotic disease known as brucellosis.
