Enrollment for the Fall 2012 coverage period for full coverage in the UNL Healthy Option Student Plan is open until Sept. 15, 2012. The coverage period runs from Aug. 14, 2012 through Dec. 31, 2012. You must re-enroll for each coverage period.

Dependent coverage is available. Graduate assistants and international students are automatically enrolled in the UNL Healthy Option Student Plan.
“Structure and Function of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV-1) Envelope Glycoproteins,” will be presented by Dr. Joseph Sodroski, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. A reception will be held at 3:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.
Robert Cargill will present a digital model of the archaeological site of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Cargill will guide the audience through the site using digital "fly through" technology, enabling the audience to get "up close and personal" with Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls.

During their three weeks in Kyrgyzstan – an emerging country in which there is great need – the students worked on documentary photography projects, including video and audio, about life in Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan declared its independence on August 31, 1991, after the fall of the Soviet Union. Since that demise, there has been instability economically, politically and culturally.
Antigovernment protesters helped topple the government in April 2010, when extensive violence and unrest broke out across the country. Hundreds of people were killed during this time. The president fled the country.
Kyrgyzstan approved a new constitution in June 2010. A new president was elected November 1, 2011.
Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked country located in Central Asia. It is surrounded by China on the east, Tajikistan to the south, Uzbekistan to the west and Kazakhstan to the north.
Kyrgyzstan has about the same number of square miles as Nebraska.
