SUMMARY:Joel Sartore to Headline Environmental Week
DESCRIPTION:The Environmental Sustainability Committee through the Associa
 tion of the University of Nebraska (ASUN) has coordinated a weeklong even
 t to take place during the week of Earth Day, starting April 16 and endin
 g April 20. The weeklong event titled “Focus Nebraska” will feature r
 enowned National Geographic photographer and Lincoln resident, Joel Sarto
 re, as the keynote lecturer.  Sartore, who is scheduled to speak Tuesday,
  April 17, will talk about his experiences documenting the effects of cli
 mate change as an international photographer. He will help attendees “m
 ake sense of global warming.”\n \nThe goal of Focus Nebraska is to educ
 ate students, faculty, and the broader Lincoln community about environmen
 tal sustainability. Fun activities and programs are scheduled throughout 
 the week, including: a wildlife display, free outdoor yoga, and an educat
 ional, mobile trailer that promotes recycling. The Focus Nebraska Art Gal
 lery will also be on displayed in the Rotunda Gallery of the Nebraska Uni
 on from 8AM-5PM. A campus wide tree planting scheduled on April 20th, wil
 l conclude the week.\n \nThe event schedule is as follows:\nMonday, April
  16th:\n10:00 AM- 4:00 PM Union Square\nSustainable arts and crafts will 
 be available for anyone who wants to support sustainability awareness.\n 
 \nTuesday, April 17th:\n11:00 AM- 1:00 PM Union Plaza\n        	Wildlife 
 Encounters will be on display in front of the City Union.\n \n7:00 PM- 9:
 00 PM Union Auditorium\nKeynote speaker, Joel Sartore, is committed to co
 nservation, especially in the Great Plains where he has lived his whole l
 ife. Sartore will talk about his experiences as a photographer and use th
 ose experiences to make sense of global warming.\n \nWednesday, April 18t
