UNL will join Lincoln/Lancaster County Emergency Management in testing all tornado-warning systems on the first Wednesday of each month at 10:15 a.m. to assure the systems are working and to remind the campus community to be at all times aware of shelters and exit routes.
The test will end within 5 minutes. Tests will not be conducted when there is a threat of severe weather or if the outdoor temperature is below freezing. UNL's Tornado Warning Policy can be found at http://bf.unl.edu/policies/police/TornadoWarning.shtml
Stop by the Wellness Booth in the Nebraska Union to have your blood pressure checked by one of the University Health Center nurses. Blood pressure checks are free and open to the entire UNL community.
The University Health Center, Aetna Student Health and Ameritas are sponsoring Health Insurance 101 to give students the facts about health insurance. This session will go over basic insurance terminology and provide a summary of the UNL Healthy Option Student Plan. Food and refreshments will be provided.
