Enrollment for the Fall 2012 coverage period for full coverage in the UNL Healthy Option Student Plan is open until Sept. 15, 2012. The coverage period runs from Aug. 14, 2012 through Dec. 31, 2012. You must re-enroll for each coverage period.

To view eligibility and premium information plus enrollment instructions log onto your MyRED account and look for “Student Health Insurance” under “Additional Services.” You must re-enroll for each coverage period. Dependent coverage is available. Graduate assistants and international students are automatically enrolled in the UNL Healthy Option Student Plan.

"Encounters" showcases the Sheldon Museum of Art’s superlative photography collection, focusing on American transnationalism and highlighting the artistic, cultural, geographic, scientific, and technological conflicts and concurrences that shaped the modern photographic image. The exhibition features new acquisitions, rarely-seen treasures, and recognized masterpieces by Berenice Abbott, Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Gertrude Käsebeir, Andre Kertész, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Carrie Mae Weems, among others.

The Friends of the Gallery will host a First Friday public reception on February 1, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm on the second floor of the Home Economics Building on UNL east campus.

The exhibition features work by students in textile design courses alongside garments from the Historic Costume Collection of the Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design. The exhibition examines the relationship between an historical garment and the objects they inspire.
5:30 pmConservation Jam Great Plains Art Museum
Participants will take turns at the microphone, offering lessons, arguments, and calls to action on topics like grassland health, groundwater protection, and what citizens can do to protect what remains of native plants and wildlife in our state. The jam is a speed-presentation format, with each speaker getting three minutes. It will be followed by an informal reception.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m. The jam is free and open to the public.
