Dr. Tonia Durden from the Department of Child, Youth, and Family Studies will share findings from a national environmental scan of the early childhood and school age professional development conducted within the Cooperative Extension System. Findings will be presented on professional development opportunities available in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Opportunities for researchers, curriculum developers, educators and community stakeholders to develop innovative and evidence based STEM related curricula and resources designed for early childhood and school age settings will be presented and discussed.
