Dr. Kathleen Wilson from the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education will present a talk titled, “Formative Assessment as Action Research for Improving Student Learning.” In this talk, she will present a framework for using formative assessments to inform instructional choices. She will also share work she is involved with to integrate inquiry-based formative assessment in K-12 instruction in order to facilitate meeting the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts and Literacy in History/Social Studies, Science, and Technical Subjects.
