Matthew Moffitt from the UNL Department of Chemistry will present a chemical education research talk titled, “Understanding the Gap between Research and Practice: Chemistry Faculty’s Awareness, Reported Implementation, and Perceived Difficulties in Implementing Evidence-Based Instructional Practices.” He will discuss survey-based findings of 86 U.S. chemistry faculty members’ self-reported awareness of, implementation of, and perceived barriers to implementing research-based best practices.
