The Kinection Project connects contemporary technology and modern art. Through the use of gesture-detection software, the installation allows participants to create an action painting reminiscent of Jackson Pollock’s famous drip canvases of the 1950s. As you move your hands, creating strokes and dripping and spattering paint, you will transform the canvas into a personal work of art. Kinection was developed by UNL Assistant Professor of Computer Science Anita Sarma and a team including Megan Jensen, Luan Pham, Ben Purucker, and James Sukup.
