The International Quilt Study Center & Museum is pleased to offer a day of free admission and activities as part of Smithsonian’s Museum Day Live! on September 28, 2013. Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian Magazine, in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket for free. Activities scheduled for the day include: • Docent-guided tours of the galleries at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.; • Demonstration of quiltmaking from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. by Quilt-N, a UNL community quilt group; • A showcase of quilts from IQSCM’s dedicated volunteer corps; • Activities for children, including gallery scavenger hunts, worksheets and coloring pages.
