The Redox Biology Center’s Eleventh Annual Symposium will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 in the Wick Alumni, Pascale Great Hall. The symposium, hosted by Matt Zimmerman, Ph.D., Associate Professor, University of Nebraska Medical Center and member of Nebraska Redox Biology Center, will focus on “Redox Signaling: A Potential Therapeutic Target for Human Disease”. The symposium includes a full day of talks with a luncheon for all attendees.
The scheduled speakers are Leslie Poole, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Biochemistry, and Director, Center for Structural Biology, Wake Forest School of Medicine; Harry Ischiropoulos, Ph.D., Professor of Pediatric and Pharmacology; Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute and University of Pennsylvania; Jon Abramson, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Physics, Portland State University; Joseph J. Cullen, M.D., Professor of Surgery, University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine; Patrick J. Pagano, Ph.D., Professor & Vice-Chair for Graduate Education; Sergey I. Dikalov, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Director of Free Radicals in Medicine Core, Department of Medicine, Vanderbilt University Medical Center; Matt Zimmerman, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology, University of Nebraska Medical Center.
