Sheldon Museum of Art is collaborating with Daniel Chauche to present the first museum exhibition of his photographs in the United States.

Chauche, who has been photographing Guatemala since 1976, documents the nation’s complicated history through images of the public and private rituals, traditions, and communities of indigenous peoples.

Sheldon Museum of Art, at 12th and R streets on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln City Campus, is open free to the public during regular hours: Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. The museum is closed on Monday.
