Sedges are half-price in September. There’s a sedge for every garden and every problem. They come in a wide range of heights and characteristics and they’re long-lived, low-maintenance, establish quickly, green up early in spring and aren’t bothered by deer, rabbits or grasshoppers. Their dense, grass-like foliage crowds out weeds, filters pollutants and slows down runoff so soil can absorb water.
