Directions: Raising Nebraska is located inside the Nebraska Building near the main gate of the Nebraska State Fairgrounds at the intersection of State Fair Boulevard & South Locust Street.

The 2016 Mystery Foods Event, to be held on October 8, 2016, is a competitive food preparation event for youth that highlights Nebraska grown foods. The event will be held at Raising Nebraska on the State Fairgrounds in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Each team of 2-4 members must use only the basket of provided food, plus a “mystery” ingredient revealed just before the event. Each team will make a short presentation to the judges explaining their entrée. Awards will be given for Best Use of Mystery Ingredient, Best Appearance of Dish, and Best Oral Presentation.
Entry fee is $20/team. Each division is limited to ten teams of 2-4 members:
• Division 1: 10-14 year olds
• Division 2: 15-18 year olds
