SUMMARY:Lancaster County 4-H Pre-District Horse Show/Clinic/Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:All counties are welcome. This clinic/show/fundraiser will be 
 set up in the district format and all 4-H age groups can participate. The
 re will be walk-trot classes. This will be an excellent opportunity for a
 ll 4-H riders to practice for districts. It will also be a great opportun
 ity for elementary age riders to experience the district format even if t
 hey aren’t yet old enough for state. \n\nWe plan to have two on-the-rai
 l individual workout demonstration rides. We are asking the judge to narr
 ate throughout the demonstration rides explaining exactly what district j
 udges will be looking for. We also plan to have a judge’s comment sheet
  for each 4-H’er after their individual rail rides. The purpose is to p
 rovide riders with a brief evaluation of strengths and weaknesses of the 
 ride.\n\nPreregistration is not required. Riders must be in 4-H attire. C
 oncessions will be available on site. Stalls are available for $15 a day.
  Lancaster Event Center shavings must be used ($8 a bag). Stall arrangeme
 nts must be made through the Lancaster Event Center at 402-441-65445.\n\n
 Stay for Sunday’s Open Horse Show presented by Salt Creek Wranglers. Fo

  VIPS Committee will also hold a tack swap, 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Items will
  be accepted day of, so dust off unused items in your closets, garages, a
 nd barns for a good cause and some extra cash! It's free to list items or
  to shop at the swap! 10 percent of all sales will be donated to the Hors
 e VIPS Committee. Unsold items can be donated to 4-H or picked up at 3:30
  p.m.

  don't mean from the grocery store!)  And, why we talk so much about cons
 erving our natural resources, why plants have so many parts, or why there
  are so many cows in Nebraska?  If you answered "YES!" to any of these qu
 estions, then you'll want to sign up for Ag-citing Adventures camp.  At c
 amp you will be given the opportunity to explore Nebraska's largest indus
 try and learn how agriculture is part of your everyday life through aweso
 me hands on adventures.  If you are in third through fifth grade, come ex
 perience EVERYTHING camp has to offer!  These sessions are loaded with ha
 nds on activities to learn about agriculture, Nebraska's largest industry
 , and animals!  Of course there will be plenty of time to do all of the t
 raditional camp activities like campfires, canoeing, fishing, swimming an
 d the TRUST course!
