A program for students, beginning farmers, and their parents
| Event Detail | |

| Date: | Friday, December 11th |
| Time: | 2:00 pm-Saturday, December 12th 3:30 pm |
| Description: | Bringing a young person into a farm/ranch operation presents challenges. However, the family can accomplish numerous goals by helping the young person get a solid start in the operation, keeping the farm/ranch in the family and ensuring a comfortable retirement for all involved. However, success does not come automatically, but it requires effort. Blending a variety of talents and personalities into one farming or ranching operation takes planning, communication, and management. The Returning to the Farm program is designed to assist families in developing a financial plan and successful working arrangements that will meet the needs of multiple families. Additional Public Info: Attendance is required at both weekend sessions First Session: Friday, Dec. 11 2 pm - 9 pm Saturday Dec 12 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Second Session: Friday January 8 from 2:00 pm to 9 pm Saturday January 9 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Website: http://wia.unl.edu/programs/returningtothefarm/returningtothefarmbrochure.pdf |
